Home to Fenway Park, this area of the city existed long before the Red Sox. In fact, the park was named after the neighborhood. You’ll find many bars and restaurants in the area surrounding the ballpark, as well as rapid development and new skyscrapers that benefit off of the business of the baseball game attendees. For this reason, there’s almost always something to do in this neighborhood. It’s also where you can check out Kenmore Square, a large part of the Emerald Necklace, the Back Bay Fens, and cultural landmarks like the Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall, MGM music hall with lots of new rental buildings, bars, restaurants, and shops along Boylston St.
